Funny how Trump will hang you out to dry no matter how nice you are to him.
Mark Rutte is one of the political leaders who has been described as a "Trump whisperer". Given that Trump only listens to sycophantic hyperbole, I'm not the slightest surprised to learn that that's exactly what Trump whispering looks like.
And he misled Trump by stating that EU countries will allocate 5% of its GDP. See Spain.
Rutte being a sycophant is not going to end well for NATO. Trump just got NATO to pay twice what they had done before, without a single word of support for NATO from trump. Nothing. He could care less.
