Christophe Sauveur @chsxf.dev · Jun 11 Rosetta 2 is now mostly deprecated by Apple. This tool allows running Intel-based x86 applications on Apple Silicon, and most older games still use it. Or games running through Crossover. Apple seems to be considering continued support for games specifically, and that's good news.

During the PowerPC to Intel transition back in the 2000s, many games stopped working because the original Rosetta was removed. Let's hope they have learned from their mistakes and are now understanding that gaming preservation is important for their customers and, therefore, their own business.
