Good points. It's also telling that only 61% of eligible voters in Texas bothered to vote in 2024. If the other 39% choose to sit on the sidelines again, what chance does Talarico really have in Texas?

Depends. Beto was close to winning. He got 90% of the Black vote, 31% of the white vote and in the high 60s of the Hispanic vote. Talerico needs to eke out a bit more of the white vote and a big turnout from Hispanic voters. He’ll do less well among Black voters. If white voters stay home that helps
