There are a lot of benefits to not shifting the clock around twice a year, but why would you ever consider fixing it at something other than standard time?

Most sleep scientists feel standard time is best for us. Apparently our bodies are more accustomed to standard time.

Back in the 1970s the US did standardize around one year round time. Turns out that kids in some regions were going to school in the dark. Parents complained and after two years, daylight savings time was reinstated. So why waste time trying it again?
