(I cant fit it all in alt text sowwy) Despite the fact that he was currently a guest, Sonic wasn’t particularly one who enjoyed being idle for long - he quickly took this opportunity to snag the plated meals from off the counter the moment Shadow finished his task and made his way over to the dining table to serve. He was about to place one of the dishes down when the hybrid suddenly interjected. “The right plate is supposed to be yours, put the left one on my side.” Ugh why was the ultimate lifeform suddenly being picky? For one they hadn’t designated sides but it probably made sense that the spots they sat at the table last time were now suddenly assigned. Sonic internally groaned at the new rules being enforced, but he still made an effort to place the hybrid’s requested plate down on the space he’d claimed before walking to the other end of the table to take a seat with his own meal. He quirked a brow in curiosity as he beheld the freshly served dish. “What, did you drop my portion on the floor before you plated it up?” the blue hedgehog quipped, eliciting a humorless eye roll from his darker counterpart. “I scooped it out of the trash while you were busy daydreaming, actually.” The delivery of the joke was both unexpected and insanely dry, but it still failed to stop Sonic from emitting an amused snort. “Well I’m honored that the so-called ultimate lifeform would stoop to putting his hands in the trash for me.” he retorted with a flourish in his voice as he made to observe the meal in front of him… just in case the other hedgehog wasn’t bluffing.
