Anyone who is local to New Mills, Derbyshire, will have heard of the great Hayfield Road sink hole of 2024. I’m been fascinated by what lies beneath, which reminded me of this old book I have on my shelf, which had a nice excerpt that explains what they’re likely to be dealing with.
