A handpainted sign I made which says “Y’ALL means ALL.” Y’all is painted in white with a gold border, means is painted in white, and ‘ALL’ is painted in the rainbow POC and trans inclusive pride flag colors. Then there’s a border around the edge of the sign that includes the color combinations of the us flag, rainbow flag, trans flag, non binary flag, intersex flag, different human skin tones, etc.

My Memorial Day painting, commissioned by the Dekalb County Democratic Club, hangs in the front window of their office in Fort Payne, Alabama. Acrylic on old political signs taped together and primed with spray paint. It’s a bald eagle lifting the US flag in its claws, surrounded by gold stars and sparkles, with the text “MEMORIAL DAY” and “HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED”, all on a cloudy, dark gray, vignetted background. I did not know I could paint an eagle!
