Today, the City Council voted 9-4 to give LAPD more money since they're hiring 170 more officers than what was budgeted for. In the past two fiscal years, LAPD went over budget by $210 million + had $260 million in liability payouts. The City will always find money for LAPD.☑️

How did the City find these funds amidst a Financial Crisis⁉️ In December, the City took $ from another city program & the city's leasing account. Today, they found $ within the department & their related accounts. The City is saying these funds are or will be "unspent/unused."

Thanks for your posts. Please consider providing an estimate of the cost to the taxpayer every time the LAPD declares an unlawful assembly. Consider including settlements to persons injured, workers comp claims to the LAPD, LAPD overtime costs. Breakdown of cost per arrest and felony conviction?
