I think about the current moment of our world where a storm of destruction has been created by fear, racism, nationalism, and fascist policies. The light in the darkness is cast upon Jesus, the one who represents God's presence with human beings on the stormy seas of life. The painting shows disciples turning and listening to him as he speaks peace to the winds and waves, calling his followers to have courage in their life and follow in the way of Jesus. May it be so!
