We salute you in your struggle for working-class economic democracy, voter’s rights, secular society and scientific socialism in India. It is clear that the class struggle in India is entering a heightened stage, with farmers and agricultural work- ers, women and youth playing a prominent role in mass organisation. We acknowledge the leading role of the CPI in unifying progressive and working-class forces and coordinating the struggle against capitalist ruling-class power in your country. A point of intersection between our two parties is the anti-war and anti-imperialist drive. Working-class movements in the Global South are playing a crucial role in resisting the brutal US-Israeli genocide in Pal- estine. We must unite in resisting the United States and Western powers and their heightened aggression around the world, in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Subcontinent, and especially against countries that are pursuing socialist construction. We wish you grand success in your Congress. May it further unify your Party and advance the cause of the liberation of the working class in India and the relentless struggle against colonialism, fascism and imperialism. Statement reading: Stop the war on Iran No to the law of the jungle Respect for International Law The Communist Party of Australia condemns the unprovoked US unlawful bombing of nuclear facilities in Iran. The attacks occurred despite the lack of evidence that Iran’s nuclear program were developing nuclear weapons. Iran has been clear that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and it has no intention to acquire nuclear weapons. Iran is also a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, NPT. It is clear that complex problems facing humanity today cannot be solved by bombs and violence. Instead, US-Israeli aggressions are contributing to the already massive toll of death, injury, rubble and misery throughout the region. The attacks on Iran were done with the usual rhetoric and lies used as excuses for the military action and they must be condemned. Australia must condemn the US attacks on Iran and do something practical to back up its call for de-escalation. The Australian government should not endorse the law of the jungle but demand adherence to the UN Charter. To do this Australia must immediately: 1. Cut all military and trade ties with Israel 2. No use of the Pine Gap and Exmouth bases by US forces 3. Australia must stay out of yet another US war in the Middle East The Communist Party of Australia recognises that Australia is so deeply embedded in the US military strategy that it will not readily accede to the above demands. In this scenario we call on all Australians to continue to campaign against US-Israel genocide on Gaza, an independent Palestinian state, and for peace. Hands off the Middle East! Statement from the Communist Party of Australia headed Hands off Iran, sanction Israel The Communist Party of Australia condemns in the strongest possible terms the Zionist pre-emptive strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The attacks on military and civilian targets have already left hundreds of dead and injured people. The Israeli attacks on Iran were unprovoked with the usual rhetoric and lies used as excuses for the military action. Israel has the full support of the United States; Israeli wars are not possible without them. Zionism has been pursuing a Greater Israel policy in the Middle East. Gaza and the West Bank have been under a war on its people with the aim of expelling them off their land which mounts to genocide. Equally, Israel has launched military attacks on other countries in the region, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and now Iran. No one is safe in the area with the Netanyahu government’s geopolitical ambitions. Close to 2 years of demonstrations across Australia and the world have demanded a ceasefire and an independent Palestinian state. We have put pressure on the Albanese government to respond ethically. Instead, it continues to trade with Israel and uphold political and economic ties with the Zionists endorsing the genocide on the people of Gaza. Australia has a very weak government that hasn’t done anything meaningful to stop Israel’s warmongering against the people in the Middle East. The CPA calls on the Australian government to impose sanctions and cut all military and diplomatic ties with the genocidal government of Israel. Hands off the Middle East, sanction Israel

Communist Party of Australia Statement on UK ruling on the definition of a woman: The Central Committee analysed the implications of the UK ruling on the definition of a woman. It was important that the issue be seen in a broader perspective than the narrow scope which is being applied. This is part of the broader attack on diversity which could affect Australia as well. We believe that the UK ruling has potential for negative consequences, emotional, psychological and even physical, endangering Trans people. The Central Committee wants to assure our trans members of our ongoing support in the spirit of an injury to one is an injury to all.
