I LOVE PALADINS. They're my favorite class by half a country mile because I also love Warlocks. And while conceptually, I love Oaths, they feel like the weakest part of the Paladin because they're treated in such a binary fashion and aren't well utilized because I feel the scope is fairly narrow. I have come up with the concept of Paladin 'Mantles' to address the role that your Paladin plays. Now I'm fine with the Oaths still being there for spell choice maybe? But the Mantle helps better direction and focus on the 'objectives/ drive' of your Paladin to help evolve them. -The HARBINGER: Cap, Optimus, Cyclops The Party Face, Leader -THE AEGIS: Superman, All Might, Magneto, Thor, Green Lanterns The Guardian/ Defender from Evil -THE DESPOT: Omni-man, Dr. Doom, Seto Kaiba, Vegeta, Darksied The Ideals by Power -THE JUDGE: Vengeance/ Justice: Batman, Punisher Fixing the Problems of the World -THE CRUSADER: Wolverine, Darth Vader, Joker, Jean Grey The Envoy/ Enforcer/ Champion of a Being of Power/ Influence
