Sure, #Greenland is an Arctic island that geographically and geologically belongs to the (North) American continent and its association with the kingdom of Denmark is a relic of European colonialism, but if any other country could have any valid claim over its autonomy, it would be Canada.

It doesn’t, of course, and likewise neither does the US. I would like to support decolonization wholeheartedly, e.g. the full independence of Greenland or several islands in the Caribbean if the local population actually wanted it, but those neocolonialist tendencies in the US etc. make that harder.
