Awww my boy gets overstimulated and will redirect with a bite. We have figured out how to read his language and he almost never bites because it's clear when he's getting overstimulated!

Dave is adorable. I'll bet the transition to nipping will decrease over time. The adoption agency I got Eleanor from almost a decade ago mentioned that she was shy but very sweet and did bite on occasion. It turned out her lite chomps were/are nothing more than a prelude to her cleaning my hand.

I think she understands that she's not quite a member of the household yet and once she is, she'll chill out. Smart girl just needs to find her person/people and maybe wear a calming collar if she's still anxious

Some more things we are learning about Dave -Dave made a curious and non-threatening approach to another adult cat when she door-dashed into GenPop, no hissing or growling was had -Dave would do best with someone home a normal amount of time and no kids (due to her tendency to overstimulate & bite).
