Interesting trend over time (Google Trends). Blue = Martin Luther King Jr. Red = Civil Rights Looks like MLK very clearly peaks on his day each year, with a growing "lag" effect for civil rights, followed by a little continued bump for a few months from Feb-May, followed by a drop back to neutral.
