He kept his technology until it fell apart in his hands. Zinnie’s beach party was starting soon. The sea breeze snuggled into his pale fur (“platinum beige,” he called it) with a salty chill. Surfers were cake toppers in frosted waves of the ocean. An old sailor crooned and cackled, “red sky in the morning, sailor’s warning,” before pushing her small boat into the tide.
