The only thing I don't like about Wolf's Rain is how depressing (but also somehow optimistic?) the ending is. It's a beautiful series/story and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Got some major whiplash from this nostalgia trip. I stumbled onto this in my peak [awkward] "wolves are cool" era and the rest is history. I think one of my biggest bones to pick with it is how there's not enough depth to most of the cast, especially Kiba's one-track mind. Still, Yoko Kanno rocks!
Honestly it was such a monumental part of my development to watch wolfs rain! Looking back it left some things to be desired, but all the cringe wolf kid daydreams I had from it made it all worth it
would it be possible to pick up a print version of this somehow? id like to have it on my shelf to show to friends if possible. i can even just print it myself & toss u a few bucks or something
I only watched this for the first time recently, well into my twenties and well into life as a therian girlthing. I think I would have realized some of that sooner had I seen it way back when The flaws in the story are def there but I agree, there's something really special in the rest. Great zine!
