Four very VERY rough sketches of a Remade Sam with attempts to give more of a parallel to Flawed Ritual (with lots of arms, a somewhat tapered shape, and a prominent ventral mouth). I wanted him to be a bit more blobby and mushed up, like Confusion and Stretchface, so I wanted there to be some flabbier 'fatty' parts to the design, but it ended up just lookin' like layers of boobs thanks to the central vertical mouth, which didn't quite work with what I was going for, haha.

Lines for Real Frederick, as well as Tumor, Facetaker, Biting, and Shadow. Increased canvas width to give a bit more room to work.
Lines and block-flats for Wiggly and Toxic done.
All 9 Freds on one canvas. Currently differentiated colored sketches, though Scared Fred has been fully lined with a flat base.
Rough sketch of Sam (Remade), Leigh, Hellen, and Joel, fighting off various Conscripts from Mr. Henderson's apartment. While the focus is on Sam violently hacking a Soldier up with a machete while looking terrified, and Leigh looking somewhat judgmentally back at him while holding the patchwork club, I ended up throwing in Hellen cutting off another Soldier's head, and Joel growing Teeth Armor (tho it was replaced later with Biting Armor which wouldn't make as much sense against these ranged units) with a Gatling looming in the background.
Rough sketches of 'scenes' from a piece written in the form of in-game mechanics and dialogue, documenting Sam's sordid decision to allow Spine to 'remake' him over the course of several in-game days, culminating in the two fusing together by the end.
Lots of colors to denote certain bits of anatomy otherwise this would make even LESS sense before I start lining.

Two more sketches; one of Sam getting out of bed to see Sybil in his wall, and the other of him playing cards with the Cursed students in the basement. Sam, down to one arm, struggles to fan the cards, but is still having fun. Laurent's rude head is yelling "HAHAHA NEED A HAND, BUDDY???" while his other head retorts "SHUT. UP." Rana continues to be polite, "Take your time, no rush at all." Carlos finishes with "Yeah, the world already ended, what's a few more minutes?"
Some more attempts at #LookOutside's Sam, with confused attempts to trace in-game assets followed by using that as a basis to adjust the features to my style and liking.

Rough but colored lines of Sam, and super rough sketches of Joel and Leigh. Sam is a little more wrinkly and gaunt than most fanart depictions, with a distinct facial asymmetry and even mild heterochromia due to a remark by Frankie on today's devstream. Included is an image of a very apprehensive Sam holding the rat baby and about to give his arm to the wall mouth. Joel's sketches are split between one very detailed one intending to make sense of his reworked facial structure, while the other two are simplified and cartoony; the 'holes' where his eyes would have been deform like eyebrows for emoting, with a sad 'expression' mourning Fuzzy, and a happy one playing video games. Leigh was also an attempt to reconcile facial structure, in this case her unnaturally wide 'grin'. This one just hurts because I think I would have liked it if I didn't find crankyteapot's rendition to be basically perfect while not wanting to copy. In retrospect I think I may have just ripped off Silvermender's old Pint stuff subconsciously.
A document longer than a basic page, which won't fit in here, detailing weapons based off the Atlanteans/Aspects of the Directer, complete with Fan-Lore That Will 99.9999% Be Proven Wrong. :S
All the playable non-crossover characters complete, forming an 11x5 grid I still have some monsters to draw for fun, but they're just a bonus

No, you don't get any more context, except that this has a write-up and has been a persistent intrusive thought for like a month and a half now.

IbisPaint view of my last 18 pictures, all Vampire Survivors. The first 6 are all about The Directer, then the Planar Merchant signaled a switch to "draw all the characters" mode. They have reddish backgrounds to match the game title screen, and also for thumbnail viewability in Ibis specifically.
Right arm in a mirror, then mirrored, to get a half-raised arm in a long sleeve, with a striped shirt being used for the sleeve. The stripes also kind of help with the contours. Used a long-sleeved sweater under it for the fabric friction, since doing this with my bare arm caused the shirt to slide back to my elbow, which didn't help the ref (which also has an undershirt).
Final line; Je-Ne-Viv, Sammy, and Rottin' Ghoul are the last playable characters, but I also like Nesufritto's design, and threw in the Fallen Throne/Maddener's Disguise because it's my jam. Atlanteans just because I wanted to draw the colored cloaks, and The Ender because, well, of course we Death Voltron in this house.

Ball Of Arms Man, except a lady
I know I'm going to have to revise a lot of these before even starting to line - especially if I go back into trailers and find out I subconsciously just copied trailer poses WHICH HAPPENED WITH IMELDA - but I wanna get the ideas down before I commit to full things... There's 59 of these, since there's technically 64 characters, but I'm combining a few into single images (like all the ghosts into one, Cosmo and Peppino into one because I'm not giving a *tree* a solo image, LMAO, etc.), but THEN I added some bosses I wanted to draw (like Nesufritto and The Ender).
