Maybe Tsubasa isn't technically canonically trans or a lesbian, but the story is still lesbophobic and transphobic unless they rewrite the entire third act VERY CAREFULLY. I was very much hoping they would skip this chapter and maybe introduce Konatsu early instead.
I genuinely forgot about this arc because I hated it. It was lazy and built for laughs, I was hoping the publisher suggested it rather than Takahashi. I did see Akane's interest in Ranma going on a lesbean date as subtext though.
