John Gerard's 16th century book "The Herball, or, General Historie of Plantes" identifies these #flowers as "winde-floure." They're an #anemone variant, commonly called windflower. These bloom in late #autumn, near the Rawson Mausoleum (1880) at #oaklandcemetery in #Atlanta. #photography 1/2
