So like… what do you think of the little we’ve seen so far? Is this considered a weird art style, or is this what you expected? Does it look like adult Link’s head on a kid’s body? I wish I saw gameplay in motion because I don’t know how to label it quite yet lol

Feels like what kid Link would look like in Twilight Princess.

Suprice · Jun 11

so far, visual style is about what i expected. the head does also look kinda off but i'm waiting to see more

I feel like it encapsulates the game that people wanted Wind Waker to be 20+ years ago, if anything. I really don't have a problem with it.

I think it looks freaking great. I really want Nintendo to swing for the fences on this one and make some big changes. I can go back and play the original whenever I want, so I'd love to see a reimagining that hits the main story beats but modernizes certain aspects like the overworld design.

"Does it look like adult Link’s head on a kid’s body?" Thanks, can never unsee this now.

Hyper Realism is the last thing I want in a Zelda game. Definitely a letdown for me. I feel the exact same about the new Star Fox designs, but the world looks so great that I’ve overlooked it and am so excited. Hopefully this will be the same.

I feel like he’d look less like adult link when he opens his eyes The artist or is kind of Disney-ish to me, but that’s not a problem for me at all

Nintendo going "Ocarina remake is real and it's coming out THIS year...here's a CG teaser. K bye." after an extensive demonstration of Switch Sports Resort thumb wrestling might be the funniest part of the Direct.

chris2k · Jun 11

I think that I need more footage, just can't really have a solid opinion at this point

João Carrasqueira · Jun 11

They definitely showed too little, this feels like it could go the "hire this man" route or actually look great. I think it deserves the benefit of the doubt, I'm excited for it

Brandon Miracle · Jun 11

I think people just aren’t used to Young Link not wearing his hat lol

watainiac · Jun 11

I don't really like it because it looks a little too much like movie Mario's art style or how newer Disney animated characters look and it's just kinda jarring. Would've preferred something more akin to the Wii U tech demo.

I really don’t see an adult head. There’s a tonne of cherubic features that signify child to me. I guess we will need to see him awake and moving to decide

First thing I thought of was Hyrule warrior. I’ve seen a good bit of people posting how it looks “weird” but we’ve had this style in motion and with a bit of voice acting before. I’m excited to see more!

Tristan - TJKoopa · Jun 11

Compared to the original and even the 3DS release, it’s looks overdone. And yeah I came to the conclusion of the “adult head on child body” before this so this just validates that. But we’d need to see more before I can call it. As it stands right now, it’s fine but not what I envisioned.

I liked the tapestry quite a bit, but the Link design is a little rough - it reminds me of fan-made Unreal Engine renderings of OOT, which isn't really what I'm looking for. That said, based on the last decade of Zelda games, I'm optimistic that the actual game will look beautiful and distinct.

Fer 🇲🇽 · Jun 11

I frankly don't wanna think much about it until I see more, so I'll ignore it for months LOL

Lady Noriko ⚔️🖤 · Jun 11

He looks very weird to me. But can't really judge it from only a few seconds of him sleeping. I'm sure he will look fine when we see him in motion in a normal environment. It's just way more detail than we've ever seen in Zelda and just doesn't feel very "Nintendo" for a lack of better words.

Cryptic_TX55 · Jun 11

With the caveat that this teaser is...like, two shots Personally, I don't like it. I also came to the conclusion that it looked like Adult Link's head on a child's body without having seen or heard anyone else mention that yet. And had the immediate feeling of "Zelda in Unreal" like others had.

TBSkyen · Jun 11

I need to see more before I can make a judgement. It COULD be a slightly tedious Zelda In Unreal Engine take that just fixates on visual fidelity to sell it to the moviegoing crowd, but it could just as easily be something much more in line with the rather dark and stark concept art of the original.

MiracleDonut · Jun 11

I won't have any strong feelings until we see some gameplay. I think the 3D render we see here looks good. Translating OoT's art style to the current generation is going to be a challenge. I'm very excited how the monsters will look.

Arsh · Jun 11

Its giving me a strong victorian fantasy vibe aha. Might look similar to FF7 remake?

VGAfanatic · Jun 11

I agree. It's too soon to tell whether this is a positive or negative, but at a base level, I like the updates to things like the Kokiri Tunic, looking more leaf and foliage-like than ever before. Makes me wonder just how much the Goron and Zora Tunics will change.

ScuffyTheDolphin · Jun 11

We need to see more, but it definitely looks different and not what we’d expect, which I am curious to see more of

Jamsch 🎨#Artfight2026🎨 · Jun 11

I gotta see it in motion, but i'm also looking forward to see adult link in the tunic. At the very least, i'm happy with the shift in art style after BOTW and TOTK.
