Anything older than 15 months probably goes into some sort of separate system. Some sort of cold storage or third party something. Why that separate system can’t be accessed on the weekend is beyond me. Perhaps it has a shabbat mode like you suggested.
I thought at first this was some kind of "shabbat mode" for their internal systems (rare, but happens). But like... the whole website works. Why is this limited to a specific slice of their DB?
