The game that was played uses a soft plastic dancepad with 4 square panels marked with an arrow for each cardinal direction. The game uses a choreography of arrows to show where the player must step, in accordance to the beat of the song and pattern on-screen.
As such the game can calculate a rough estimate of calories burned, based on the missed inputs, as well as additional inputs.
