Basically, the speculation is these drones are searching for something, up to and including tracking "gamma rays" and hunting "hidden WMDs" on the east coast.

This idea would explain why the fed govt is not saying anything (not wanting to spread panic), but these drones have FAA lights on them, back-and-forth patterns, and a lack of evidence that they are foreign. OTOH, nothing ever came of the Colorado drone flap: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019%E2...
