Looking up at an oak tree with a very upright structure. There is some curly deadwood but the tree looks structurally should and healthy. But what do I know? It just dropped a large branch.

Anaerobic conditions in newly planted area a poor plumb tree with its lower section under water. They also staked this tree wrong which will stifle any movement leading to a lack of taper making the tree weak.

An old hollow oak tree on the edge of a hidden creek in a duff layer of leaves and large dropped branches. Still supporting a healthy canopy of dark green leaves, the lower branches are broken and short while the upper branches support many smaller branches. There are a dozen or so young trees behind it along a row of native greenery lining a small seasonal creek.

The part of the limb that is on the ground and furthest from the tree still has green leaves so there is hope. The rest of the tree looks healthy with some dead branches.
