It's funny how amazed he is by the fact I spent my childhood and teenage years playing in pillboxes around the Kent coast or hanging out with friends drinking etc...

I had a fairly normal 80's/90's childhood, but to my son it appears to be some kind of unimaginably feral Lord of the Flies existence going off to explore the local woods all day, or climbing over abandoned buildings, messing around on skateboards and mopeds without instantly being arrested etc
