Background on Product Discontinuation More than a decade ago, NI introduced the FPGA Compile Cloud Service to address the hardware limitations that made local compilation difficult at the time. Today, advances in hardware, along with evolving security standards and IT policies, make it impractical to continue supporting this legacy approach. Going forward, NI will focus on secure local compilation workflows. Current hardware and tools now make it possible to complete most FPGA compilations efficiently on local systems, while aligning more closely with updated security expectations and organizational requirements. We understand this represents a shift in how some users work. This direction reflects broader changes in technology and compliance environments and ensures a path that remains sustainable and supported moving ahead.
Dear Customer, NI is discontinuing the FPGA Compile Cloud Service. You are receiving this letter because you have used or accessed this service in the past. At NI, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our users, and therefore the service will remain available through October 30th, 2026. After this date, the cloud compilation functionality will be retired; however, documentation and migration resources will remain available to support your transition to other local compilation solutions.
