NEW: As the World Cup kicks off, we find that a majority of voters (53%) believe that the U.S. has a negative reputation among citizens of other countries. And 62% say that the way citizens of other nations view the United States has worsened under President Trump.

A plurality of voters say the World Cup will have no impact on the economy, public safety, or America’s image abroad. But voters do think U.S. immigration policy has generally hurt the country's global reputation.
