Calling upon the attunement of the vibrant and frolicsome, boots touched down upon ruins claimed by esoteric nature. The miqo’te trudged, feet barely raised one after another. Down verdant streams and abandoned cobblestone, scaling noble and eccentric steps. At last he slowed, will no longer in his legs, at the foot the magnificent castle. Its aura had changed for its regency, resembling the fall leaves on the wing of a butterfly. It’s the weight of his world. His sins, his sorrows, his regrets. His virtues, his joys, his triumphs. He can’t sort them out, it’s all encompassing. He doesn’t know which to let go, which to carry. They are his world, and can’t imagine himself without the burden.

He missed her presence when his sun rose from the bed, and it didn’t take long for the absence to rouse him from slumber. He needed to see her when the breaking day was dawning.
He was so very tired.
Hazel eyes slowly blinked open, filtering in the serene light and calm air. Then his nose inhaled the alien scent, the atmosphere charged with magicks beyond his comprehension, his familiarity. Yet as his eyes shot open, realizing his displacement, his body did not react. Not out of lack of motion, but the serenity calming him. He had laid his hands behind, fabric and flesh cushioning his head on the bark. And he was comfortable where he was, there was no inclination to stir. An easy breath stilled what little tension entered his body, while eyes roamed and drank in the surroundings.
