The trade paperback collecting John Byrne's original comic book mini-series Man of Steel. Originally six issues, this is collected into one book. This was when Byrne rebooted Superman for DC back in the mid to late 80s. The Man of Steel mini-series was his first foray, setting the stage for the new Superman. I had the mini-series but sold it years ago when I sold my comics. I have been wanting to read this again due to Adam Mallinger's blog talking about old Superman comics. I got this on ebay. It was only $10, and probably $16 or $17 with shipping. But its in great shape. Doesn't even look like it's been read.
The character sheet for my Star Trek role playing game. It incorporates the classic TOS Star Trek font. It is arranged so that attributes are on the top left, underneath the logo, then a section in the middle for statistics like Name, Race, Age, Division in Starfleet, and ship assignment. On the right is a Star Trek delta badge with a line for Rank below it. The middle of the sheet is dominated by Skills. At the bottom are two boxes: one for combat skills, and one for Specialty Skills.
A TV Guide ad for a TV show called "Salvage-1". It is, inexplicably, about Andy Griffith somehow owning and operating a space ship from his backyard. He uses the space ship (that he lifts off from his backyard) to *I think* get space debris...? That I'm hoping is worth a lot of money because I feel like flying to space is not cheap. I think for many years I thought this show was a fever dream. I think it only ran for 8 episodes.

The background is a green to yellow gradient. I also put a little black gradient on the castle because in the pure yellow it was just too much. I also have my 'mega folders' integrated into the wallpaper itself. I do those, and then I put a folder in them and make that folder invisible. I like it: its like highlighting which are my main topic folders and then there are subfolders inside. I put a little layer shadow on them this time, which I really like. Makes them pop a little.

The outer case to the laserdisc box set of the anime series Maison Ikkoku by Rumiko Takahashi. The cover features Kyouko, one of the main characters, sweeping out front of her small apartment complex, House Ikkoku. The Maison Ikkoku logo in Japanese is in the corner with LD24 beneath. It was a set of all 96 episodes on 24 laserdiscs.

He's a large man. Definitely the 'muscle' of the group. The card is printed on brown paper to give it a sepia tone effect. Its really cool.

It starts mid-sentence: "...with his toga and let himself fall.' Suetonius adds that, according to some reports, he said in Greek: 'Kai su, teknon' (which Shakespeare turned into the Laton 'Et tu, Brute?'). It literally means 'You too, child'. but what Caesar may have intended by the words isn't clear. Tempest cites an 'important article' by James Russell (1980) 'that has often been overlooked'. Russell points out that the words 'kai su' often appears on curse tablets, and suggests that Caesar's last words were not 'the emotional parting declaration of a betrayed man to one he had treated like a son' but more along the lines of 'See you in hell, punk'." Several passages in the text are underlined.

It was made back when people were freaking out over Mindy Kaling's Velma series.
A toy replica of the original Romulan Bird of Prey from the original Star Trek series. It is still in the packaging. It says Star Trek Legends with the 50th anniversary designation (making this about 10 years old now). I have always loved the o.g. Bird of Prey. One of my favorite Star Trek ships.

But the caption of this picture brings up a really good point: "When your home planet exploded a few hours ago but a man you just met is feeling sad about his martial-arts mentor."

A photo of my foyer over the stairwell. The paint is trimmed up to the edge of the molding. It turned out pretty well. I did this standing on a ladder with a paint brush tied to a broom handle. I was shocked that worked, actually.

Harry is on the right side of the screen, mid-run, one of the collapsing lakes is just a small bar in the center of the floor. In the tunnel below a scorpion patrols. The game is frozen with 0:23 seconds remaining, and the final score is 113416. I beat the game on 3/16/20.
A lifestyle photo of a 4-lamp fixture on sale at Lowe's. The fixture has a circular base and four angles pieces that reach up from the circle to where it attaches to the cord. Each lamp has a 'cracked' style glass flute around edison bulbs pointing upward. But the fixture, while okay, was not what I was looking for. But they did have a piece of art in the photo that was really cool. It had a distressed white frame, and they used the architectural floorplan of a building (maybe a cathedral. I couldn't really tell). But I thought that's a great piece that anyone could make. Get an old piece of art from a yard sale or thrift store (buying mainly for the frame) and then use the print from an old art book for the floorplan part.
