The problems are very much about Kaja Kallas. If her institutional position would be stronger, Kallas would still be concentrating on Ukraine, supporting Israel, & refusing to oppose United States when it comes to attack on Venezuela, attempted takeover of Cuba or murders of fishermen and sailors.
🧵 1/3 Yes, EU setup is not ideal, because it was historically meant to keep much of the power in the hands of member states. It is not a political union like the US. A lot of people in- & outside EU don't like Kaja Kallas' direct confrontation of those in favor of authoritarianism & anti-democratic
As a newbie in EU matters, this looks to me yet another manoeuvre by Ursula von der Leyen to concentrate power in her useless hands.
