In my book TheOwnedContinent.eu, I outline the Visa/Mastercard stranglehold over Europe in Chapter 5, "Europeans Are Payment Prisoners" There's been no shortage of initiatives over the past decade to solve this. But banks and national governments have seen no urgency to do so.
