They have similar, generic-sounding names like VisionOfThePeople, the bio text is usually in quotation marks, and their content is almost all news links and reposts. Are other people getting these weird follows?

I do vet before I follow. If they look suspicious, I block them. The only possible reason that I followed back the spam accounts is because they looked legit enough. But certainly it was unintentional. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I believe to be a bot, spam acct. The "numbers" look off.
