Some context on the subject- This one is a little more personal than most of my work. After spending May clearing out my Mom's house & finding old photo albums of my Mom's family in Denmark I was thinking about Morfar & Mormor's house here in Canada. There was always a pot of coffee on the stove, pickled herring, Danish beer or Old Vienna & Aquavit on the table for whoever would inevitably drop by in the afternoon. In my memory the house was both jovial & serious.
