Who decides? Police? Doctors? Trauma specialists? You do know that current treatment methods for addiction are successful for about a third of patients and they require multiple treatments and a support system on completion. How long will you provide involuntary "care" for those who don't respond?

We need to be supporting the parents and families of these individuals, starting when they are children. It's great to have a space and support for them as adults but early support may reduce the need. Better pay for those on disability. Let's be proactive. While supporting those currently in need.
