David Pfau @davidpfau.com · May 28 The war on science in the US is already having an effect on private sector research like AlphaFold. Bears repeating but the private sector builds on top of things created by academic research for the public good. This hurts everyone.

I would agree though update the language to the war on learning with science being one front in that larger war. The private sector builds on what is learned through science and by those who receive an education (K-12 and college). The combined impact will be devastating.
