Tempo The world moves to an unheard melody. Tempo is a trait that sets the pace of the game. The higher the Tempo, the more danger you’re likely to incur. Tempo is divided into three tiers – Adagio (slow), Moderato (moderate), and Allegro (fast). The MC may up the tempo as a risky consequence, and players can bring it back down again by utilising a Set-up Action. At the start of every match and errand, start a repeating 4-tick Tempo clock. Whenever a character rolls a 1 on an Action Roll, add one tick to the clock – this includes all dice rolled, not just the highest. When the clock fills, the MC takes one Tempo token. This token may be spent to inflict a consequence at any time. The severity of the consequence depends on the level the Tempo was at when the token was earned. As such, Tempo tokens come in three varieties: Adagio tokens, Moderato tokens, and Allegro tokens. Adagio tokens can be spent to inflict a controlled consequence, Moderato tokens to inflict a risky consequence, and Allegro tokens to inflict a desperate consequence. Two tokens of a type may be discarded to take one token of a tier higher.

Start a 12-step clock. Every time you violently kill a rival or main character, add two ticks to it. Every time you kill a side character, add one tick. When the clock fills, you may perform a grim ritual at the start of Downtime. When you do, you die, but decimate an authority Division and all its associated pillars, immediately destroying them.
While easy enough to confuse for a Channeler at first glance, in reality operative “Esper” wields supernal powers using the strength of their mind alone. They may be eccentric, but they wield powers beyond even my comprehension, so take care, Admiral.
I hope you don't think operative "Brigadier" is gunning for your position, Admiral! I can assure you that's not the case. They just have a certain charm that soldiers gravitate to, as is evident in how well they command their fireteam. You can't win a war without camaraderie between the troops.
What use is a detective in war? Well, you'd be surprised, Admiral! And codename "Investigator" is no mere detective. They've got a keen eye and a sense for when something isn't right. If they follow their hunches, they might just bring the Authority to its knees by dismantling their conspiracies.
Out of all the operatives I can spare for your collective, I owe the most to "Medic". They've got me out of some tight scrapes, and I'm sure they'll do the same for you, Admiral. A skilled doctor is indispensable in the field, especially one with the lived experience to back it up.
While operative "Resonant" holds excellent technical knowledge in magic, they lack the necessary training to spark it of their own volition. Nevertheless, they excel at manipulating existing magic, especially that present in enemy constructs. A sabouteur and a subversive - good thing they're on our side!
It might be folly to call "Companion" an operative, but I believe in this little guy. They've got a keen sense of duty and a close bond with one of your other operatives, so they're bound to serve your cause well. I feel like it would be a mistake to underestimate them, adorable as they are.
This operative carries something dangerous within them, but we can use that to our advantage. They can manifest a monstrous ascendant form, which allows them to wreack havoc without warning, while they can normally blend in quite well. Codename "Miscreated" is an excellent guerilla operative.
Codename "Occlusive" had their full potential sealed by the Authority. Whether their reasons were legitimate or not doesn't matter to me, but it's important for you to know that while they can wield spellcraft, they cannot pilot an Astir effectively. Perhaps with you they will find their liberation.
Codename "Incandescent" is a strange one even to me. An awakened machine, an Ardent come to life. I'm not sure what animates them, but they clearly possess a will of their own. Even if their former drives sometimes interfere, it's clear to me that they'll make an excellent addition to your team.
As their name might imply, codename "Tempest" is rather... tempestuous. They're prone to taking unnecessary risks and destroying their opposition with overwhelming force. A candle burning at both ends, take extra care to see this operative doesn't flicker out like a flame in the storm.
The operative “Ordained” is a bit of a hothead. Proud of the effort it took to gain provenance over a divine relic. It takes many years and rigorous labour to reach such a position. They now wield this relic in an effort to protect their values. Or perhaps it is the relic that wields them.
The operative codenamed “Noita” is a potent spiritualist who brings the might of the land down on their opposition. They exist in the liminal space between life and death, between night and morning. While they may seem distant or distracted, I advise you not to underestimate their competence.
