Lots of text, but basically the origin of Jonathan Hickman’s multiversal take on Hyperion, very much a Superman story. Crashed to earth, helped make a great society. He was taught to look at groups as a whole, civilizations, big things. But he also could see the small, the individual units. And these two are called the two Hyperions - the big damn hero, and the individually caring hero.
