WHAT IF...? SECRET WARS (2026) might actually be my favorite of the year so far. The premise is: okay, after the shenanigans of Secret Wars (2015), what if the Ultimate Marvel universe persisted?

For anyone who doesn't remember, Ultimate Marvel was a standalone comics universe that was modern, edgy, and much more self-contained than the sprawling mainstream Marvel Universe. It was a soft-reboot that allowed readers to get in on the ground floor without decades of continuity to catch up on.
