Because you have a scotus run by Republican nut cases who are determined to force women to be servants ie make america great again … you know where women & minorities are put in their place
The attacks on women's rights were a huge factor in why I chose to leave Idaho and move to Washington. My wife needs birth control to keep her endometriosis in check. We will never go back to living in a red state for as long as we live.
Because we live in a horrible place that was founded on genocide and slavery?
One reason is that the votes that count are the ones cast; too many citizens simply do not vote. I believe things could change if people simply exercised their right to vote and get involved.

I've asked Republicans around me why my rights as a woman should depend upon which state I call home. They never have an answer unless it's "ABORTION IS MURDER!"

I didn't think I needed the ERA until we moved from California to Oklahoma. It was a shock. I left the Republican Party in 1977, and they have gone downhill ever since. They never should have made me angry with them. 😡
It's all in the definition of Rights.
