A software error improperly registered 6,600 noncitizens in New Jersey. Fewer than 400 of those people voted in at least one election, representing less than one-hundredth of 1% of the number of ballots cast in the 2024 general election. Still, Republicans are raging. https://demdock.com/4pBTOi8

They rage about everything. They are so asinine.

@roadsister.bsky.social · 7h

They should be raging at people who live in one state and run for office in another!

Dee Jaye 🐝🍀🌹 · 7h

AND the state caught it and fixed it. Yawn. That’s why STATES run elections!!

@happydazs.bsky.social · 5h

did "software errors" steal the election from Harris? will we find that out in 2048?

Let the nightmares begin.

It's profoundly incompetent, and these noncitizen voters should be prosecuted by Sherril in a way that makes DeSantis look like a pussy

They never let facts, figures, and logic get in their way before. Why start now?

And, as I understand it, approximately half were dem and half repug.

Their selective outrage is bullshit, as is all of their pretend outrage when, if you look back through recent history, they have done far, far worse. People should yell in their face, Shut the fuck up, and slap them with a white glove if you have to. They're completely full of shit.

A software error or an intentional “glitch” to use as an excuse to change policy??????

Sean Solo · 7h

And half as many as he demanded for himself in 2020.

The voter fraud hysteria never was about undocumented immigrants voting, foreign meddling, or dead Venezuelan dictators rigging voting machines. It's about today's GOP doing whatever they can get away with doing to consolidate & keep power in the hands of the few [GOP] over the many [you & me].

Seafodder · 7h

The math works out to 0.009% of the votes cast.

Republicans rage to get attention. People believe them. Democrats count on people to use common sense and understand what really happened. That's why Republicans win.

Christy B · 7h

The worst part of this is that the Republicans will never, ever STFU about this! Insufferable.

GE And · 7h

And, weren't the improper registrations done under the Chris Christie Administration?

Ordelafo Faledro · 7h

By no means am I defending fake outrage or false narratives, but I nevertheless feel you should describe those <400 votes as a percentage of votes cast *in NJ* (vs national vote tally).
