honestly, if you can get the stylized, handcrafted feel of right with the image fidelity of left it would be best

I agree, the grass textures (and the tree textures) in the picture on the left feel more realistic and less like thin billboarding. It feels more filled out, which adds to the depth perception in the image. Games where the environment feels more like a proper 3D texture feels more immersive.

1st image looks more cohesive, something about the lighting and coloring on the 2nd one is causing me problems. Not sure why.
