Testing out different dye and gel stain combinations for these white oak morris chairs. I think the overly red ones are out, but I鈥檓 having trouble narrowing it down further. The left side of each board also has a coat of amber shellac. They don鈥檛 have to match and existing piece. #woodworking

I hope you鈥檒l disregard if not helpful, but, if you haven鈥檛 tried it, ammonia fuming isn鈥檛 as hard as you鈥檇 think.

I鈥檇 have to see it in person to be sure but I think 4 is the winner for me. I don鈥檛 know why, it just feels right. I assume they鈥檒l see a lot of sun/weather?
