Was Astro considered as a foundation? Feels like the dev server speed and the general outcome could be comparable. Not taking more bleeding edge features like SSR+DSD support for islands into account here, but these are starting to appear as Astro plugins like Sparkio (didn’t exist in 2025 yet) too
Thanks for taking the time to write this! I'm trying to get my company to make a similar migration and it's really interesting to hear about the journey you guys have been on and the (pretty pragmatic) thinking behind it.
