I know just how busy the #USPS is right now. They really do put the big jolly guy in red to shame if you step back and think about it. But I gotta ask, why the back track? (Olympia, WA is about two hours north of Portland, OR and an hour to 90 minutes south of Seattle).

Hub-and-spoke logistical organization: Seattle is the regional facility, so it has the infrastructure for rapid classification and distribution; it's more cost efficient to build one big center and several small ones, than a bunch of medium sized centers that can do all the logicstical services.
