Small mezzotint test plate to print several kinds of Hahnemühle copperplate printing paper. I’ve been burning through my reserves of Zerkall (the best mezzotint paper imo) but since the mill flooded in 2021 and there is no more.. it’s time to find a new go to printing paper. I’ll share my results!

It is a crying shame Zerkall stopped. I like the 350g Hahnenklee and, strangely enough, the Magnani Incisioni 310g
I have always used St. Cuthbert's Somerset Soft White 300gsm. It always prints beautifully, either with Charbonnel 55985 or Intaglio Printmaker Strong Shop Black.
