Boromir applied the first ‘buff’ in fantasy history?
What an absolutely fascinating thread! Thank you! Gandalf, whose power is to kindle courage and hope, himself had his courage kindled by the unbowed fighting spirit shown by Boromir. The human reminding the maia that his struggle is not in vain. Boromir is a "bro" in the best sense of that word. :-)
