Art by me depicting a scene of the Late Triassic of Nova Scotia. A Hypsognathus (parareptile, left) and a Jupijkam (phytosaur, right) are startled by the Manicouagan impact happening far to the north. The scene of the impact parts the clouds and rises far above the tree line like an explosion no human has ever seen in their lifetimes. An explosion so large its scars can still be seen from space today.

Joggins, Nova Scotia, 300 Million years ago. As the first reptiles evolved in a world of amphibians, the abundance of dead plant matter would amass as peat at the bottom of slow moving water, like the sides of this river. Over millions of years of compression, these bits of Lepidodendrons and other plant matter form into the coal we use today. Joggins was once a coal mining town, in their pursuit of energy, they found fossils the earliest reptile Hylonomus Lyelli, of amphibians like Dendrerpeton and invertebrates like the tailless whip scorpion Weygoldtina. They also found colossal vascular plants like Lepidodendron, whos corpses were the bases for most of the peat in the area. The peat turned to coal, and the coal was burned for electricity. The trapped carbon in the burning coal turned into the carbon dioxide that warms our atmosphere to this day.
Warhammer and miniature painting has been a great outlet to forge creativity, despite the aches to my wallet. I hope it wont be a big distraction in the future, but a nice hobby to come back to after a long day. This is a Knight Abominant, a chaos knight from Warhammer 40k.

Here was the speech I was supposed to do, but had to wrap it up due to me recovering from a cold and the weather: Hello everyone, thank you all for coming despite the weather. We can all see that Canada still has a little bit of cold left in her despite what were here for. Over the last couple of years, outright Climate Denialism has been waning. Many people see with their own eyes that "October used to be cold" or "we would get long lasting snow before December". Denying that humanity is the cause usually follows, that's easy to disprove, then denying that its a problem is next, which if you come across that I have some information to help argue that point: 1/4

A Majungasaurus defends its pilfered nest from a dastardly Simosuchus. The Simosuchus is caught red handed with egg on its face. A lot of speculation is used for this piece; the life appearance of the Majungasaurus with facial rugosities, the omnivorous pseudosuchian, the flora of prehistoric and arid Madagascar, and more big words that make me seem smart.
A Compsognathus longipes lays beside an Ardreosaurus skewered on a speculative Jurassic Tethys tree along a beach. This is a speculative behavior akin to shrikes where the predator impales their prey on spikes to consume later.

A Pyrovore's body is a complex array of bladders and stomachs, driven by the instinctive need to feed, with a deadly maw dripping with corrosive acids strong enough to break down flesh, bone and armour into a smouldering mucous. They are often found on battlefields feasting on the dead and wounded, and can even devour metals and rocks. A Pyrovore has limited intelligence, driven only by the need to feed. Its flamespurt weapon-symbiote has a separate brain that functions independently from the Pyrovore, unlike many other Tyranid organisms, which mind-bond with their bio-weaponry. The flamespurt weapon actually possesses a larger mental capacity than its host, instinctively attacking any nearby non-Tyranid lifeforms whilst the Pyrovore gorges itself. -Codex Tyranids, 5th edition
A driver is stopped on a snowy highway, high-beams illuminating a Pentaceratops, a huge and dangerous ceratopsian. Other Pentaceratops lurk behind the darkness as well as New Brunswick's famous highway moose-fences.
A Pteranodon stands on an ice flow surrounded by multiple smaller Nyctosaurus, both being pterosaurs. The ice flow is in the middle of the ocean with some Nyctosaurs flying above and a few Elasmosaurus, long necked plesiosaurs, poke their heads out of the water.
