a paragraph about "predatory inclusion." it reads: "The wealth that vanished from Black and Latino households did not vanish into thin air. The subprime crisis was deliberately built. Black and Latino borrowers were steered into subprime loans, with their higher rates and crueler terms, at roughly twice the rate of comparable White borrowers, and this held even for borrowers who qualified for ordinary prime credit. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor called this practice predatory inclusion. Where the redlining of the postwar suburbs had worked by exclusion, keeping Black families out of the housing market and its wealth, the new practice pulled Black families into the market so they could be stripped by it."
