A skein, two cardboard bobbins and a partial spindle with an attached rolag. The skein in variegated pinks and purple is a single which will be for weaving. I'm thinking about holding it with some commercial alpaca that I've had in stash because the loom needs a heavier weight thread. The brown/ black on the bobbins and the spindle are the Black Welch Mountain again. I'm really enjoying spinning it in this wollen prep. If all goes well, it will be combined with a couple other natural colors into a sweater, at some point. Spindles take a while, at least for me.

Scarf in progress. The pattern is the Connecticut River Scarf and Shawl. The yarn is 3 Stitches Short. I'm holding grey with a gradient of blues. It's a dk weight rather than the worsted the pattern is written for, but it works very well.

I'm not convinced that it's always faster to use this wheel than to use my spindles because I'm still figuring out how to manage the tension. I end up spinning, adjusting the drive band, spinning, adjusting....
