I’m a professor emeritus (Penn State School of Theatre) and former director of the Arts and Design Research Incubator. A performing and visual artist making work about mental health and about living a balanced life with anxiety and depression.

Crows appear at the edges of things. They live in thresholds. Between wild and domestic, forest and city, seen and unseen. The mind, too, is a threshold- the place where past meets present, where reason brushes against feeling. Where what we hide hovers just beneath what we show.
